INFORMANCE PROMOTES EDWARD TOUNG TO VP PRODUCTS
Newest member of management team to compound customer focus.
REDWOOD CITY, CA March 28, 2007 Informance International, a leader
in Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) solutions, announces the addition
of a new member to the executive team: Edward Toung joins as the Vice President
of Products and will report to Sunil Singh, CEO and President.
“Our customers have experienced significant gains in manufacturing operational
efficiencies using Informance next-generation EMI solutions,” said Mr. Singh.
“Ed will ensure customers continue to have access to the most advanced, easiest-to-use
manufacturing analytics available today.”
Edward Toung has built successful product management and development teams for technology
firms, delivered solutions for global manufacturers, and has been a member of the
Informance team since 2004. Mr. Toung was most recently Informance’s Senior
Director of Products and a key figure in the development of the Informance Enterprise
Solution, released earlier this year. Prior to Informance, he worked with global
manufacturers in the US and Asia to improve supply chain performance and manufacturing
efficiency. During his time with E2open as Director of Network Solutions, Ed worked
alongside leading High Tech Manufacturers to automate their global supply chains.
He focused on Business-to-Business integration projects with hundreds of trading
partners. Previously, Toung was with Ariba, a leading provider of spend management
solutions, as the group product manager for its contract management solution. Earlier,
as i2’s SRM group product manager, he was a key figure in conceiving and delivering
the first release of Tradematrix and RHYTHM Collaboration Planner – one of
the first web-based collaboration solutions in the Supply Chain space. Mr. Toung
has delivered solutions to and worked on joint development projects with a number
of prominent manufacturers like IBM, Matsushita/Panasonic, Hitachi, LG Electronics,
Solectron, and Dell. With more than ten years of technology development and product
leadership experience, Ed received graduate degrees in Industrial Engineering and
Technology Management from the University of California, Berkeley and his B.S. in
Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
